| FL | Fail due to late submission; normal reassessment rules apply |

| FQ | Failure to reach a Qualifying mark on one or more assessments |
| FR | Fail; normal reassessment rules apply |
| LF | Block failed |
| LR | Reassessment allowed for all components less than 40/Grade E |
| LP | Block passed |
| M | Not submitted due to mitigating circumstances |
| MR | Block may be taken again, with full attendance, on the grounds of mitigating circumstances. |
| NA | Attendance Only [but attendance was unsatisfactory] |
| NE | Ethical violation on a research project |
| NR | Not submitted normal reassessment rules apply |
| NS | Not submitted normal reassessment rules apply |
| P | Pass [work marked on Pass/Fail basis] |
| PC | Pass by Compensation |
| PL | Academic misconduct no reassessment possible irrespective of the overall subject aggregate |
| PR | Academic misconduct: resubmission allowed |
| RS | A Resubmission opportunity had been offered during the year, but the student did not take up this opportunity. |
| RN | A Resubmission opportunity was not possible |
| U | Unclassified Fail |
